GruntWorthy’s young prodigy, Haywyre graces our ears once again with his fourth album, The Voyage. Haywyre is Martin Vogt; a classically trained musician that has evolved into a one man electronic orchestra, as made evident in his most recent album. Alpha Data graces our vibrations with his smashing debut EP: Nefertiti. He opens the EP’s portals with the mistress of Egypt herself, Nefertiti. As you listen, you enter the land of pharaohs and royal frequencies. Snake charming melodies flux through the river weeds as aqua dreams steam into busting, metallic submarine sounds. This groove keeps even the faintest of ear moving along her lazered slurps.

Next up: “This is Heavy, Doc”. Turn your groove goggles into gear: g-funkay. Cool alley cats slink through the passage of glittering, ticking land mines where bouquets of crystalized gypsy grind highs hustle the shuffle.

The third track, “More Than Ever”, is a twisted drama of gritty grime meeting aerodynamic magic-carpet- ride-melodies. Tempo switch-ups tango.

Nefertiti closes with “In Electronics”. A broadcasting voice serenades us with lessons in Electronics as he informs, “A glitch is a very short lived thought in a system”⋯”or in electronics”⋯ Audio aquatic consonants carry us over gadget filled valleys and under sunken-ship lows.

Travis Egner-Williams aka LabRat has been making music for close to ten years. This 23 year old producer, reppin’ Santa Cruz has been a part of many musical projects. He played guitar in a Death Metal band called Crucifornication for 4 years, and produced rap beats under the name “7th Ave Mole Heshens”. Most recently he’s submerged himself into the world of EDM and Dubstep has guided LabRat into almost strictly electronic production in the past 3-4 years. LabRat – Test Subject [GRUNT013] + FREE TRACK! by GruntWorthy Music

Gruntworthy and Groove Style Entertainment (GSE) have partnered together to bring you Elevated Frequencies 2011. This tour will feature some of the best up and coming glitch and dubstep artists the west coast has to offer including Gruntworthy Record label owners Carly D and Dr. Knobz, Street Ritual label owner Knowa Knowone and Addictech’s up and coming glitch hop artist Bird of Prey. The first part of this tour will feature seven different west coast shows, along with an exciting one-night show with David Starfire at Denver’s prestigious Cervantes Theatre.

Currently there are seven scheduled stops, starting on August 13 in Los Angeles and ending on August 21 in Fort Collins, CO. The Elevated Frequencies Tour will continue onto Northern California, Oregon, Washington and up to Vancouver during the month of October.

Out now on Muti Music is Knowa Knowone’s new EP Sound Paintings, Bird of Prey’s single Metakinetic (Addictech) and the new BassTease EP (Carly D and Dr. Knobz, Gruntworthy). Martin Vogt, aka Haywyre has been making music since he was six. At the tender age of 18, this young musician has already written and completed three full albums.
